Cloud Systems Engineer
Native Cloud Systems (NCS) is seeking highly motivated and talented engineers to join our early-stage startup and help us build next generation cloud computing systems technology. We’re looking for a Cloud Systems Engineer to join our visionary founding team as, among other things, the lead engineer of the networking stack and networking security layer of our proprietary cloud OS.
We are looking for an intelligent, curious, highly resourceful, proven, creative problem-solving, Linux development and networking guru whose experience encompasses the following required qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of Linux environments with applied experience in Linux kernel hacking with particular regard to network programming
- Excellent knowledge of core communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, HTTP and building application-specific protocols on top of them
- Expertise in white hat security testing and understanding of information security practices (cryptography, privilege separation, etc.)
- Excellent understanding of open source frameworks, with experience contributing to open source projects in one or more of the following: Linux kernel, OpenStack, OpenStorage, etc…
- Proven ability to write high quality systems software in C and C++
- Experience working with multi-core, multi-threaded, distributed systems
- Experience with performance analysis and optimization of distributed (cloud) systems
- Proven track record in developing large scale, distributed systems
- Experience configuring systems on at least one major cloud services provider (ie. Amazon)
- 5+ years of coding in a team setting using a version control system
- Experience building test harnesses and automating testing
- Be comfortable with working under an Agile/XP methodology
- Know how to both craft and be driven by good requirements and specifications documentation
- Hold an MS or BS in computer science or related field or equivalent knowledge
- Be willing to learn new technologies and passionate when it comes to making technical breakthroughs and solving complex problems

Platform Systems Engineer
Native Cloud Systems (NCS) is seeking highly motivated and talented engineers to join our early-stage startup and help us build next generation cloud computing systems technology. We’re looking for a Platform Systems Engineer to join our visionary founding team as, among other things, the lead engineer of the tools and integration layer of our proprietary cloud OS.
We are looking for an intelligent, curious, highly resourceful, proven, creative problem-solving platform engineering guru whose experience encompasses the following required qualifications:
- Expertise in cross-platform C/C++ development, including deep knowledge of coding practices for applications spanning Linux, Windows, and Mac
- Expertise in porting C/C++ applications to both the iOS and Android mobile platforms
- Expertise in implementing GUI components and frameworks
- Excellent understanding of open source frameworks, with experience contributing to open source projects in one or more of the following: OpenStack, OST, OpenSocial, OpenID, etc…
- Experience designing and implementing APIs, ideally for web services (XML, SOAP, REST, etc…)
- Experience integrating with directory services, especially LDAP and/or oAuth
- Experience with the Qt framework, especially with regard to integrating Qt with other libraries
- Experience bolting code libraries onto scripting languages like Lua
- Proven ability to write high quality systems software in C and C++
- Experience building multi-platform automated build infrastructure
- Experience working with multi-core, multi-threaded, distributed systems
- Proven track record in developing large scale, distributed systems
